Children of the Watch: A Star Wars Aftershow
★★★★

I keep listening

I came across this podcast as my interest in Star Wars was expanded after watching the first episodes of season 2. Our hosts have knowledge of so much of all the Star Wars Canon that many people may not have. The sharing of opinions and ideas as to where this season’s story arc is going is exactly what I was looking for. In fact, many of what they predicted has come to pass. Their knowledge of characters and storylines hinted at without actually mentioning them in the screenplay really helps more casual viewers enjoy and anticipate future developments.

I will say that I took a break from the show for 2 or 3 weeks. This was mostly because the hosts go on and on about how the creatives behind the Mandalorian listen to the podcast and put ideas from the podcast into episodes of the Mandalorian. I’m not saying this isn’t possible, in fact it’s not only possible, but plausible! But I am saying that I got tired of hearing it. Who are they trying to convince, themselves or the listeners?

At any rate, I have to admit that I did come back to the show and picked up where I left off. In the episodes I’ve listened to since coming back, I haven’t heard anymore of the self inflating so I’m much more comfortable listening.

Overall, I gave it 4 stars. I wanted to give 3, but if it was just mediocre I wouldn’t have come back. I couldn’t give it 5 because there was reason for me to want to put it down. In the end, I’m still listening! Thanks guys.
